| United Way of Howard County is a local independent, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another. We do this by cultivating gifts of time, talent and treasure, and linking those resources where help is most needed in our community. United Way of Howard County is operated by a minimal staff that promotes volunteerism, raises funds to address important human issues, and makes sure the money is used in the most efficient manner possible.
