Local 440 provides highly skilled tradesman who fabricate, install, and service piping systems, including potable water supply, waste and sewage, and process piping systems. In addition, our work includes heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Local 440 work ranges from residential to power plants, factories, chemical installations, public buildings, water treatment facilities, and health care facilities. For our contractors and owners, local 440 diligently seeks work; we promote good labor relations; and we provide a highly skilled work force to supply any size project. For our members, we provide representation to negotiate competive wages and benifits; training program ranging from the latest certifications to an Associates Degree from Ivy-Tech State College in Applied Science ; job referals and information; mediation for problem solving; and political action to promote labor.

OUR GOAL--To provide the Plumbing, Pipefitting, Welding, and HVAC industry and its contractors with the most highly skilled and efficient mechanics available.
