| The mission of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of North Central Indiana is to build strengths in young people by providing positive mentoring relationships. Agency professional staff match screened volunteer mentors to local youth who can benefit from an intentional friendship. These volunteer mentors have agreed to maintain an ongoing one-to-one relationship with these youth for at least 12 months in order to help build specific assets needed by the young people to grow into caring, competent, and confident adults. A variety of agency program options exist for volunteers to mentor to local youth, all on a one-to-one basis. |
