The HIV/AIDS services available through the Howard County Health Department include educational presentations to at-risk populations and upon request to the community at-large. We provide free HIV counseling and testing (confidential and anonymous) on Mondays with no appointment necessary, and we do not restrict either of these services to only Howard County residents. The health department staff also offers referrals for care coordination, support group meetings, and services to clients. We staff the HIV/AIDS Helpline (456-AIDS) during business hours to address concerns and answer questions. A Healthier Community Grant funds the HIV Educator position, and we charge no fees for educational presentations.
