The Mission offers both shelter and outreach ministries. Shelter ministry programs are available for men in the building at 321 West Mulberry Street, close to downtown Kokomo. The Shelter for women and children is located at 319 West Taylor Street, one street north of Mulberry. Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Outreach services include an open dining room at Noon and 4:30pm, free clothing and household goods through the Care and Share Store, located at 314 West Mulberry Street, as well as a Community Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas outreach to needy families.

The Mission’s purpose is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to the whole person in its shelters, dining room, thrift store, and holiday outreach. An emergency financial aid fund prevents homelessness by spending nearly $50,000 annually helping families pay a bill that might have caused them to lose their home. Last year, the Kokomo Rescue Mission provided over 17,000 nights of shelter, 85,000 meals, 47,000 pieces of clothing and 850 pieces of furniture.
