The general purpose of this club, incorporated June 6th, 1951 as a non-profit corporation, shall be to preserve and maintain motor vehicles of ancient, vintage and historical value and also to have better relationships with clubs of like natures. The Pioneer Automobile Club - Haynes Apperson Chapter goals include the promotion of the vintage car hobby, especially the Haynes Apperson vehicle, and the promotion of the Automotive Heritage Museum in Kokomo, IN. The club is involved in many events, including the Pioneer Automobile Club Car Show, held the first Sunday of May in the Automotive Heritage Museum's parking lot located at 1500 N. Reed Road (U.S. 31N), a car show held in downtown Kokomo, held around the July 4th holiday and volunteering regularly at the Automotive Heritage Museum. The club also has a newsletter called The Wheel Spoke, edited by Fran Fisher (765-459-9170) and Mike Noe (765-947-5625). The current club president is Don Wooldridge (754-457-6578) with election of officers held annually. Club membership is open to anyone with a love for vintage automobiles � a car isn�t necessary, just a desire.
