First Steps of Howard County is the local SPOE (System Point of Entry) for the Indiana First Steps early intervention system that provides services for eligible children birth to 3 years old who are experiencing developmental delays or have factors that may result into a developmental delay. The SPOE is responsible for helping with the application process, and determining eligibility for the program. The program is voluntary. Referrals can be made directly to the SPOE by parents, family, physicians, nurses, child care providers, hopital/clinic, friends, or anyone that has a concern about a child under the age of three years. |
